Prince Roger Nelson; an Iconic Megastar Music Superhero whose 40-year music career was legendary all over the world, was confirmed death on Thursday 21 April 2016 by his publicist, Yvette Noel-Shure. He died at his home, Paisley Park, in Chanhassen, Minn. He was 57.
Celebrity gossip site TMZ.com reported that Prince was treated for an overdose six days before his death but the officials wouldn’t comment on that report and insist that the cause of death was still under investigation.
According to Jim Olson, the Carver County Sheriff, the deputies responded to an emergency call at 9.43 a.m.
“When deputies and medical personnel arrived,” he said, “they found an unresponsive adult male in the elevator. Emergency medical workers attempted to provide lifesaving CPR, but were unable to revive the victim. He was pronounced deceased at 10:07 a.m.”
Through his career, Prince won seven Grammy Awards and was inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame in 2004.
