The Red Pump Project is a nonprofit organization that continues to raise awareness about HIV/AIDS and how it impacts women and girls. Founded in March 2009 by Karyn Lee and Luvvie Ajayi, they have since expanded to six cities with the headquarters located here in Chicago.

This Saturday, March 19th, the initiative will be honoring those impacted women and girls with the 7th Annual Rock RED Fashion Show in Chicago, IL. The team requests that the ladies step out in their favorite red pumps while the men have been asked to wear red ties. Doing so helps commemorate National Women and Girls HIV/AIDS Awareness Day, recognized annually on March 10th.

The fundraiser is to be held at Loft on Lake, located at 1366 W. Lakes St. from 6-9pm. Tickets are $40 and can be purchased here.
