American rapper, Wale arrived Lagos this past weekend to perform at a Johnnie Walker event and took the opportunity to meet his family for the first time ever…

I feel good. I was excited. I could barely sleep. It’s a real moment to finally be here, man. I’m blessed. I’m excited about it.[…]I’m curious. I’m more curious as to what it’s going to bring to me than what I’m gonna bring. I’m just very alert and really curious about everything from the food to the fashion to the people. The little idiosyncrasies that are within the country. Being that I’m a very family oriented person, only 15 percent of my family lives in the States. Everybody else is here so I got a lot of ground to cover.

Since his arrival almost a week ago, He’s been keeping things turnt up with video shoots with Wizkid and Reekado Banks. He also paid a visit to the Lagos State Commissioner for Arts and Culture, Folarin Coker

and made an appearance at OAP Toolz wedding before heading to beat fm where he revealed that he never visited home because he was too poor to afford a ticket out of the States. At the Johnnie Walker event, he performed the song ‘Bad’ alongside Seyi Shay and promised to return soon…

“I promise to keep coming back. If y’all will have me, I’ll coming coming back. Shoutout to my dad, Mr. Akintimehin do you want to take a bow for these people now? Haaa Oga!”

But it wasn’t all fun for our man as ever faithful NEPA didn’t fail to welcome him home with blackouts. The rapper took to his twittwer page to complain about the state of power supply in Lasgidi.
